The E³ Program and Our Guardian Rules
E³ stands for the promise behind everything we do: Every Task, Every Site, Every Time. The same standard of care applies no matter the job, the location, or the day.
At the heart of E³ are our eight Guardian Rules. Each one addresses a high-risk activity common to our work, from working at heights to controlling hazardous energy, and each follows the same clear format: a safety standard, the questions to ask before work begins, and the conditions that require work to stop. Every rule closes with one shared principle. If any worker feels unsafe, work stops, and that authority belongs to everyone on the team. Ready before we begin is how we approach every job.
A Shared Responsibility
Rules on a page only matter when people put them into practice. Before any high-risk task, our teams pause to plan the work, confirm the right training and equipment are in place, and identify what could go wrong. If conditions change or something does not look right, anyone can stop the job at any time, regardless of role or title. This is how we protect our people, our clients, and everyone who shares a site with us.
